Social media is the new way of doing business and a new infographic from VerticalResponse reveals just how much time small businesses spend on social networks, including other insightful details.
When it comes to how much time small businesses spend on social media, 43 percent spend six or more hours per week, 25 percent spend six to ten hours per week, 11 percent spend 11 to 20 hours per week, and seven percent spend 21 hours or more per week.
Social media continues to not be a place where too much is spent, although many may be focusing more on scheduling content and automating more processes. Looking at CEOs or owners of businesses, 63 percent use social media one to five hours per week, 23 percent spend six to ten hours per week, 8.5 percent spend 11 to 20 hours per week, and 5.5 percent spend 20 hours or more per week.
In fact, 1/3 of all CEOs or owners want to spend less time on social media. Compared to last year, 66 percent more small businesses are investing time on social networks. with Facebook still King at 90 percent and Twitter at 70 percent.
Pinterest and Google+ aren’t nearly as popular with businesses compared to the other two big social media platforms. 34 percent of small businesses post several times per week to Facebook, 21 percent post several times per day to Twitter, 27 percent post once to a few times on LinkedIn, 14 percent post once to a few times per month on Google+, and just 12 percent pin just once to a few times per month on Pinterest.
Among many other stats, 55 percent of small business have a blog and 45 percent spend up to three hours to create a new post. For more stats and details, check out the infographic below.
