Cityville creator Zynga has amassed more than 250 million monthly Facebook gamers and now the company has made plans to expand their social gaming empire by hiring nearly 100 new employees in Dublin.
The nearly four year old company has announced the launch of their European headquarters in Dublin, Ireland a move seen as a nice boon the the countries gaming industry.
Rumors also note that further expansion at the Dublin office is expected and that they will focus on online community management, content management, business functions and customer care out of the new office.
According to Zynga C.O.O Marcus Segal, the opening of the company’s new European headquarters was made possible thanks to involvement from Ireland’s Industrial Development Authority (IDA). While other countries reached out while Zynga was making their decision Segal says that “…nobody did as great a job as the IDA did on really partnering with us and showing us the way.”
Ireland has done a great job lately of attracting top online businesses including Facebook, Google and computing security firm Symantec.
