Everything sounds better when it’s coming out of Benedict Cumberbatch’s mouth, amirite ladies?

But seriously, the 37-year-old English actor’s silky timbre makes just about anything sound important, deep or sexy. So when Jimmy Kimmel decided to have the Star Trek Into Darkness star perform a dramatic reading of R. Kelly’s “Genius” (from his upcoming album Black Panties) we were kind of expecting the reverse. Even Benedict Cumberbatch can’t make those lyrics sound good.
