When it comes to social media posts those messages with photos included are more likely to receive active user engagement.

Realizing the importance of social media visual engagement the team at social app and sites creation service Chute designed an infographic to showcase the visual revolution.

According to the company’s research more than 300 million photos are upload to Facebook daily and those photos receive 53% more likes than other types of non-visual posts.

Chute also found that photo engaged photos receive 104% more comments than non-photo included social media posts.

When asked what type of posts they enjoy 46% of users said posts with photos, 28% said basic status updates, 19% preferred jokes/cartoons/memes, and 6% prefer links to articles.
