Facebook Post Causes Woman To Attack Her Boyfriend With A Furby

Woman assaults boyfriend

Pittsburgh, PA – Woman assaults her boyfriend (not news). Woman assaults her boyfriend over a Facebook post (still not news). Woman assaults her boyfriend over a Facebook post brandishing a Furby toy and a PlayStation controller (… I think we may have something here).

A Pittsburgh CBS affiliate reported that 27-year-old Ashley Trimmer attacked her boyfriend of eight months, William Ley, hitting him on the right side of his head with a Furby while he was sitting on the couch. She also hit him on the left side of the head with a Sony PlayStation controller, but ’twas the Furby that drew blood.

Police showed up and tried to figure out who to arrest, because that’s what they do in the case of domestic abuse. Trimmer said that her boyfriend also attacked, but since she didn’t look like she was walloped by a Furby, the police chose to arrest her. Trimmer has been charged with assault, and was released on $2,000 bond.

All of this mayhem was caused because of a Facebook post that made Trimmer mad. No details about the Facebook post were given (but if you’re his friend and can screencap it, I will give your Twitter handle a shout out).

Though we at Social News Daily try to find the social angle in every piece of news, it’s really this jilted Pittsburgh woman’s choice of weapons that caught our eye. There aren’t any kids mentioned in any of the stories, and sure a PlayStation controller makes sense, but where the hell did the Furby come from? Whose is it? I shall not rest until these questions are answered.

And yeah, we want that Facebook post. Get at me.
