Vine recently expanded to 19 new languages, and today Twitter sent out an email saying the six-second video sharing service will soon add vanity URLs.
Verified users will be able to get their own vanity URL starting December 20, and the feature is expected to roll out to everyone else on December 23.
You’ll be able to create your own custom Vine.co URL, and here’s what the setup will look like:
To receive your own URL, you’ll first have to log into the Vine.co website. While Twitter did not mention web profiles, one could assume they go hand in hand with custom URLs.
The Vine team will automatically reserve profile URLs that mirror verified Twitter @usernames. Even though the Vine team will reserve profile usernames, you must still claim the profile URL by registering it. Twitter handles that are not verified will not be automatically reserved for Vine profile URLs.
Last month, Vine finally made its way to Windows Phone devices, and an update in October added the ability to edit and save Vines for publishing later.
