Vine For iOS And Android Available In 19 New Languages

Vine finally landed on Windows Phone last week, and today the iOS and Android app were updated to support 19 different languages.

  • Norwegian
  • Portuguese (Brazil)
  • Russian
  • Spanish
  • Swedish
  • Simplified Chinese
  • Traditional Chinese
  • Thai
  • Turkish

For Android users, the app includes support for two more languages, Filipino and Polish.

In a new blog post, Co-Founder Colin Kroll also talked about a new way of surfacing popular Vines:

We’re also beginning to explore ways to surface Vine videos that are popular in a particular country. Wherever you are in the world –– be it Japan, Brazil or somewhere in between –– we hope this update makes it easier for you to discover and create videos that bring us all closer together.

Vine has had an impressive year, and with people like Zach King using it, you can be sure there’s never be a shortage of cool six-second clips.
