Boston, MA -Ruslan Tsarni, the uncle of Boston Marathon bombing suspects Dzhokar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, spoke to the press this morning about his nephews. For calling them “losers” who have put “shame” on their family and their Chechen heritage, Uncle Ruslan is being praised on social media sites like Twitter for his bravery and American patriotism.
Law enforcement officials are currently in pursuit of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokar Tsarnaev after a late Thursday/early Friday chase and firefight that left Tamerlan dead. The situation is ongoing, and concrete details are slim. In that vacuum, the media has focused on the family of the suspects.
Their father has given his statement, but social media networks are more infatuated with Uncle Ruslan Tsarni, who answered questions posed by the phalanx of reporters who descended upon his Maryland home.
Uncle Ruslan very pointedly advised Dzhokar to turn himself in if he’s still alive, and to beg forgiveness from the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. You can watch a video of Uncle Ruslan’s speech below, but first, let’s take a look at the social media reaction to his speech.
“Ruslan Tsarni” is the number three top trending term on Twitter right now, and here’s how tweeps are reacting to his media appearance:

If I were the FBI, at this point, I would just let Ruslan Tsarni conduct the search. He’d have his nephew dead in minutes.

Ruslan Tsarni -the suspects’ uncle- is the definition of a great American. If his sentiments about USA don’t make you tear up, get checked

It was really interesting to follow everything yesterday, and also to see how others reacted on social media.
Such an odd story. Seems like everyone but the uncle is denying that it's possible….except the widow who is keeping to herself. I think it's sad that so much focus is on them and so little on the many heroes and victims.
