Do you remember your first tweet on Twitter, a now ubiquitous social media service that has become sort of a crowd-sourced text messaging app?
Twitter’s first tweet tool saves you the scrolling — and what started as a mostly between friends group messaging app now boasts a place in history with events like the Arab Spring and active accounts maintained by world leaders.
It’s been eight years since any first tweets were posted to Twitter, and to mark that anniversary, Twitter has launched a tool to bring up your very first presence on the worldwide social site.
Here at Social News Daily, we got right to business with Twitter, immediately publishing content instead of wasting time on introductions:

In a pre-SND era, I was more concerned about the lack of appreciation for my tidy bookmarks bar:
Organizing bookmarks, dismayed that no one will appreciate their tidiness.

President Obama was cooler than me, though, tweeting back in 2007:
Thinking we’re only one signature away from ending the war in Iraq. Learn more at https://www.barackobama.com
— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) April 29, 2007
However, the official White House Twitter feed came later:
Welcome to the official Twitter page for the White House!

What was your first tweet?
