Twitter Photo Tagging Comes To Android, iOS

Twitter Photo Features for iOS and Android

Twitter on Wednesday announced two new features for its Android and iOS apps. The first feature is the ability to tag photos, while the second option allows for up to four photos to be included in a single Tweet.

In a post on its official blog the company reveals that up to 10 people can be tagged in a single photo. According to Twitter’s César Puerta (@CesarDielo):
“Tagging people in a picture makes conversations around photos fun and easy. And tagging doesn’t affect character count in the Tweet — you can tag up to 10 people in a photo and still have all 140 characters at your disposal, making it easier to connect with your friends. If you’re the one being tagged, you’ll get a notification. You can adjust notifications, as well as who can tag you, in your Settings.
The post also announced that up to four photos can be shared in a single tweet. The photos automatically make a collage. The photo feature rolls out for iPhone devices today and for Twitter.com and Android in the near future.Twitter Multiple Photo UploadsUsers of the Twitter.com, Android, and iOS platforms can all see the new collages despite not all devices supporting their creation at this time. Photo-tagged tweets and tweets with multiple-photos are Embeddable. You will need the latest version of the iOS or Android app to take advantage of the new features.
