The Twitter fail whale isn’t seen nearly as often nowadays, and to celebrate such a historic day for Twitter, artist Yiying Lu created the IPO Hippo.

To come up with the hippo concept, she was inspired by Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Elder who threw out the name “IPO Hippo.”
Lu is the original creator of the fail whale, which quickly became synonymous with website outages.
However, since Twitter has significantly improved its reliability over the years, Lu also created the Success Lochness back in April.
