Twitter Adds New Age-Screening Feature For Alcohol Brands

Twitter

Twitter previously required users to respond with their age via direct message after following alcohol brands, and is removing that for a new age-screening feature.

Rolling out today on the web, iOS and Android, the age-screening process is now better integrated, and “simpler than before.”

After a user clicks the follow button, they will now see a prompt to enter their date of birth.

Clicking “Done,” users will then be redirected back to the company’s Twitter profile.

Twitter says it has partnered with brands like Heineken, Bud Light, Knob Creek, Jim Beam and Bacardi to test the new age-screening feature.
