Twitter Acquires Summify, Team To Join Twitter Development

Twitter Acquires Summify

Twitter has agreed to purchase Twitter story aggregation firm Summify in a move that will send the company’s development team to work at Twitter officers. Summify is a service that sends out email digests of aggregated Twitter posts with the most relevant stories for users.

According to Twitter developers the new team will continue to “explore ways to help people connect and engage with relevant, timely news.”

Using Summify Twitter will have an easy and effective means for showing new users how relevant data that matches their interests can be obtained from the service. One of the biggest drawbacks to Twitter thus far has been attracting long term visitors who fully understand the value added benefit of using a Twitter account.

Twitter has promised in the last several months to show users easier ways to find content that matters to them, Summify is a move in that direction.
