Top 10 U.S. Retailers: Categorized By The Most Popular Social Networks


Social networks are a great tool for retailers to connect with customers and the team at Retail Customer Experience has examined those tools for the top 10 U.S. retailers on the most popular platforms. Following its research the firm split the top retailers into five social networks: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and YouTube.

Here are the top 10 U.S. retailers on Facebook based on likes:

  • iTunes – 24,641,710
  • Target – 21,466,145
  • Victoria’s Secret – 20,968,410
  • Amazon.com – 15,393,314
  • Macy’s – 10,111,417
  • Kohl’s – 10,086,664
  • American Eagle Outfitters – 7,885,779
  • Abercrombie Fitch – 7,356,805
  • Best Buy – 6,549,324

Here are the top 10 U.S. retailers on Twitter based on followers:

  • iTunes – 3,499,158
  • Whole Foods Market – 3,116,925
  • Victoria’s Secret – 1,708,216
  • Dell – 1,493,648
  • Verizon Wireless – 808,220
  • Urban Outfitters – 625,968
  • Target – 518,498
  • Amazon.com – 415,689

Facebook remains the King of social networks with more than 1 billion active users. Twitter is the second largest traditional social network with 140 million active users and Google+ has 135 million active users. Pinterest in the meantime is gaining speed 100 million unique visitors per month and YouTube has 800 million unique visitors per month.
