Tinder To Add Verified Profiles After Celebs Kept Getting Denied

Tinder announced it hit 750 million “swipes” per day last month, and today CEO Sean Rad announced it will soon roll out verified profiles.

The app currently has such celebrity users as Ashton Kutcher and Lindsay Lohan, and in order to sign up, you must log in with your Facebook profile.

However, not all celebrities use their actual name on their Facebook profile for obvious reasons, and this has lead to Tinder users thinking they are fake.

Did you hear that? That’s the collective groan of people who actually stood a chance with a celeb, but completely blew it.

To fix the problem of being seen as fake, Tinder’s verification program will allow celebrities to sign up without a Facebook account.

Rad doesn’t say when the program will launch, but if you ever get matched up with a celeb on Tinder in the future, we wish you the best of luck.
