SpongeBob and friends are getting a new makeover in 2015, from 2D to 3D that is, coming to a movie theater near you.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water released its official trailer this morning having kids and adults going crazy with excitement. Uploaded to YouTube by Nickelodeon, Sponge Out of Water shows the characters we all know and love leaving precious Bikini Bottom and the 2D world for the surface and getting some new 3D looks.

SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Plankton all turn into superheros for this film, fully equipped with huge muscles and so much more. Watch the trailer above and tell us what you think.

This top has been trending on Facebook for the entire day. The YouTube video has minimal views, but everyone has been clicking on articles about this like bait. No pun intended.
