First, who can’t resist a good parade. The ‘Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade’ has become a mainstay of the holiday for many. As in previous years, the parade will air on NBC, starting at 9 a.m. ET on Thanksgiving morning. Maybe parades aren’t your thing, tune in anyways and take a drink every time the announcers say the word, “float.” We promise you won’t remember anything…

The Peanuts gang will give you the perfect entertainment to get the family prepared for the upcoming holiday. Airing on ABC, you can catch Snoopy and the gang on Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles

Every holiday has an iconic movie. Hence, why a certain television channel airs “A Christmas Story” over and over again on December 24 and 25. Of course, Turkey Day is no exception. The CW is getting into the spirit by airing the 1987 classic starring the late John Candy and Steve Martin. The film tells the story of Martin is trying to make it home to his family for Thanksgiving, but runs into Candy and hijinks ensue.

Mystery Science Theater 3000

So, the TV was taken over by your football-loving uncles. Just grab your computer or tablet to catch a cult classic. You might remember this 1990’s series that poked fun at cheesy movies. As the creators are trying to vamp up funding to bring the series back, they will be livestreaming six classic episodes on YouTube.

There you have it. Make a heaping plate of your Thanksgiving day favorites and kick back. We will definitely be tuning in!
