Since the advent of streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu, you’d think arguing over what to watch on TV would be a thing of the past. But apparently that’s not the case, as a battle over the remote just turned deadly in Turkey.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for murder, after stabbing his older brother to death in an argument over the TV remote. The brothers were allegedly fighting over which show to watch, when the teen – who can only be identified by his initials of B K – grabbed a kitchen knife and attacked his 18-year-old sibling.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Kirikkale, and the victim, known only as I B K, was rushed to the Kirikkale Ihtisas Hospital. However, his injuries were fatal, with the younger brother since being detained by police.
So, maybe next time you and your family cant agree on what to watch, it might be safer just to let them decide – binge-watching isn’t worth dying over.
