Superb Lets You Scout Locations To Explore With Your Pals IRL

Need help finding something to do this weekend? There are multiple apps out there that’ll help you find the hangs, and a new app called Superb is looking to take the next step in connecting your online life with your offline life.

Superb is billed as an “intent-based” social networking app that gives users the deets about the places around you that your friends want to visit and allows you experience them together IRL. Content is user-generated and based on community popularity. Additionally, a “Conversations” feature allows you to message your friends and plan an outing together.

The app also keeps track of hot-spots in your town, and lets you make a “bucket list” of places to visit with your pals.

Superb was created by the same development team that worked on GrubWithUs, a food-based app launched a few years ago that helps users organize group dinners with other people they’ve never met (but might share a few things in common with). Superb evolved from that concept after the team received feedback from users desiring a locations app that connected people IRL with other places in addition to restaurants.

From Eddy Lu, co-founder of Superb:

“While building Grubwithus, we kept hearing from our users how much they wanted to connect over everything, not just over food. With Superb, people not only can share their favorite places, from restaurants to shops to hiking trails, they can also connect with friends and others with similar passions. We at Superb want people to connect their online worlds with their offline lives and explore and rediscover a city together so we’ve made an intent-based app easy, fun and customizable.”
