Somewhere Platform Has New Investors

Berlin-based Somewhere, a photo-centric competitor to LinkedIn has announced a new group of investors.

While the network comes across more like a competitor to Instagram, Tumblr, or even Pinterest, it has attracted the attention of hip companies who are looking for a new way to market their brands and open positions.

The company’s new angel investors include Podio co-founder Jon Froda, and Postshift and Headshift co-founders Lee Bryant and Livio Hughes. The company is also supported by former Podio chairman Thomas Madsen-Mygdal as chairman

The company has also managed to pick up the Somewhere.com domain. The network still remains invite-only.

Somewhere claims to be gaining a high level of engagement from its beta-users.
