Social Media Week is back for the fifth year in a row, and if you imagine a bunch of people mentioning buzzwords like “engage,” you wouldn’t be 100 percent right.
Lasting February 17 to February 21, events are taking place in the following eight cities around the world:
- New York City
- Barcelona, Spain
- Copenhagen, Denmark
- Milan, Italy
- Hamburg, Germany
- Bangalore, India
- Lagos, Nigeria
- Tokyo, Japan
This year’s theme is “The Future of Now,” and here’s what Jordan Freeman, VP of brand strategy and development at The Huffington Post had to say:
“The rise of technology has caused this 24/7 connection, and in some ways that’s great, and in some ways it could have a very negative impact on the way we’re managing our careers, our relationships, our families and our lives.”

For those not able to attend Social Media Week 2014, official apps available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone will help keep you in the loop.
