Here’s how other regions performed in 2013:
- Asia-Pacific: $3.36
- Central Eastern Europe: $1.87
- Latin America: $1.78
- Middle East Africa: $0.37
Worldwide, social media ad spending per user came out to $6.18, and that number is estimated to increase to $7.98 in 2015.
North America and Western Europe will remain the two largest regions, and here’s their estimated numbers for 2014 and 2015:
- North America: $32.82 in 2014, $39.89 in 2015
- Western Europe: $13.71 in 2014, $16.17 in 2015
From eMarketer:
Overall, social network ad spending is growing most quickly in the Middle East and Africa, though even in a relatively mature region like North America eMarketer expects solid double-digit growth over the next two years.
With 73 percent of U.S. adults using social media, it helps to reveal why North America is the largest region for social network ad spending.
