Screenburn enables people to monetize their existent audience, increase distribution, and find new fans by selling video content within their Facebook page.
The company has raised $500k in angel investment for expansion. Screenburn is utilized by filmmakers and musicians to monetize their Facebook pages with on-demand video content.
Screenburn works by accepting payments from fans and then making the video available to them for a certain amount of time. The company has launched more than 200 films on Facebook so far, including projects for the Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney.
Pages that use Screenburn can control their content by going as far as creating a blacklist or whitelist to control where people can access it from.
The videos are compatible with tablet, desktop, and mobile devices like the iPad, iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone.
The platform lets pages track analytics such as trailer views, purchases, and revenue from the Screenburn dashboard and integrate with Google Analytics to track statistics in their existing portfolio.
Screenburn has also brought Steve Macallister from Zodiak Rights, a television distributor, onto its board and also Howard Kiedaisch from Arts Alliance Media, a digital cinema firm.
