Twitter is rejoicing for another victory in marriage equality, as Scotland has legalized gay marriage today.
Most of Twitter appears to be pleased by Scotland’s move to allow gay and lesbian couples equal rights to marry, with many posting positive reactions:
Breaking news! #Scotland has become the 17th country in the world to legalise #equalmarriage, following historic vote of @ScotParl!

Great day in our history. Now we can stop talking about it as if it’s different to any other marriage #equality #scotland

Some even made us tear up a little:
IT PASSED!!!!!!! I’M CRYING TEARS OF HAPPINESS BECAUSE I CAN GET MARRIED IN MY OWN COUNTRY. #equalmarriage #Scotland

Now me and the boyf can get married in my native country or his. Thanks #Scotland #EqualMarriage

In fact, we had to dig pretty far to find just one naysayer:
Scotland needs prayer, gay marriage is wrong and I will stand upon the word of god until the day I die. God will judge the wicked.

And the above image was tweeted in celebration as well:
So tired right now, but so happy that #equalmarriage in Scotland is a thing! 🙂 pic.twitter.com/oXWTsc70xc
