Ronan Farrow Tweets Support For Sister Dylan

Ronan Farrow Shows Support Sister

Ronan Farrow tweeted out his support for his sister, Dylan Farrow, after she wrote an open letter in the New York Times about the alleged sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her adoptive father, Woody Allen. The tweet came a few weeks after Ronan alluded to the sexual abuse allegations when Allen was honored at the Golden Globes with a lifetime achievement award.

His show of allegiance for his sister came after a statement from Allen’s lawyer Elkan Abramowitz, which blamed the director’s ex, Mia Farrow, for fabricating the allegations. The Huffington Post notes that Abramowitz wrote, “It is tragic that after 20 years a story engineered by a vengeful lover resurfaces after it was fully vetted and rejected by independent authorities. The one to blame for Dylan’s distress is neither Dylan nor Woody Allen.”

Dylan Farrow’s letter was published seemingly as a response to Allen’s winning of the Cecil B. Demille Lifetime Achievement Award at the Golden Globes. While her brother didn’t actually watch the show, he tweeted out after the tribute:

His additional tweet on Sunday appeared to be both support for Dylan coming out again about the allegations, as well as a response to Allen’s lawyer.

The sexual abuse allegations against Woody Allen first came to light in 1993, but Allen was never charged with a crime.
