Most of the stuff that people share on Facebook is BS, but if you’ve seen a story about razor blades glued to playground equipment, share it until you’re blue in the face. That story is 100 percent true.
The following photo has been going viral among parents on Facebook this week:
The photo is often accompanied by the following message:
This is real people! My friends friend Sent these pictures to her. Her child was playing at the park. She noticed blood on her child’s hand, then spotted the razors glued to various spots on the playground! What the hell is this world coming to?! This is in Illinois by the way. Keep your eyeballs peeled if you have little ones that love the park.
Though we spend a lot of time debunking viral posts as hoaxes here at SocialNewsDaily, this particular story is a rare exception.
Originally reported by WQAD 8 in Moline, IL, a two-year-old was indeed injured by razor blades glued to playground equipment at Millennium Park in East Moline on Monday.
The child was injured, though the mother said that he will be okay. Anyone who knows anything about the assholes who could have done this is asked to contact Capt. Reynolds at (309) 752-1552 or Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities at (309) 762-9500.
