President Obama Thanks Batkid In First Official Vine

obama vine

President Obama just published his very first Vine: A thank you to the Batkid.

For those of you who are a little behind on the Batkid story, we’ve embedded a video up top. But the gist is this: The Make-a-Wish Foundation turned San Francisco into Gotham City for 5-year-old Miles Scott who got to dress up at Batman and play superhero for a day. The whole city got involved. Tens of thousands of onlookers showed up, local news outlets ran fake stories, and Scott was even given a chocolate “Key to the City” by the Mayor at the end.

Anyway, while the San Francisco Chronicle published a cover story thanking Batkid for saving “Gotham” and the Justice Department issued indictments for the Penguin and the Riddler, all to play along, President Obama decided to thank Batkid personally with a Vine.

Obama, you are such a dork.

According to the White House Director of Online Engagement, this is the first Vine published by the administration to feature the president.
