Pinterest Is Testing Animated GIFs

Pinterest

Pinterest was found to be the fastest growing social sharing channel of 2013, and according to a spokesperson, the social network is testing animated GIFs.

Long been a favorite among Tumblr and Google+ users, animated GIFs are said to work after clicking a small play button on the bottom left of an image.

From Mashable:

“We’re always working on ways to help people discover and save the things they love, which can include animated GIFs. We’ve heard from the community that they’d like the ability to post and view GIFs as Pins, so we’re testing ways to make that happen.”

Pinterest declined to comment on when animated GIF support will roll out, and how many users can currently view GIFs in the stream.
