Endomondo, a popular social fitness network that currently boasts some 20 million users, has officially launched Brand Pages.
Powerade and Bluetooth headset company Jabra are the first major brands onboard, and more are expected to join soon.
Here’s what Suzaan Sauerman, Global Senior Director of Consumer Solutions at Jabra had to say:
“The active market is a key sector for Jabra and our partnership with Endomondo adds tremendous value in helping us deliver a richer user experience and push the boundaries of wireless sound. Interacting with end users has always been a core element of our product development and Endomondo’s brand engagement provides the ideal platform for us to expand our reach and offer value to build closer relationships with our target market.”
Users will be able to follow brands just like any other user, and see important updates, stories and more.
Brands can also host giveaways, create events and even upload customized routes for fans to try out.
From Endomondo CEO Mette Lykke:
“We believe this will make our website even more interesting and engaging, and further our goal of making fitness social, interactive and fun.”
Endomondo is available for free on all major mobile operating systems, and a paid version gives you access to a low power mode, pedometer and much more.
