Folk-singer Pete Seeger passed away this week and his family’s condolences are being sent to the family of Bob Seger.
Pete, best known for his hits “If I Had A Hammer” and “Where Have All The Flowers Gone?” is being confused with the man who performs “Night Moves.”
Bob Seger of course is still very much alive and just 68-years-old.
Here are the typical messages sent to Bob Seger:
I’ll never be able to listen to “Turn the Page” again. RIP Bob Seger.

This reminds me of the Jay Leno sketch in which people are given information and then pretend they know what they are talking about.
In the meantime thousands of Pete Seeger fans took to Twitter following his death to share their favorite songs from the legendary folk-singer.
Truth time! — leave a comment if you also wrongly left an RIP message for Bob Seger.
