Nokia Partners With Social Gaming Company Zynga

Zynga and Nokia form partnership

Mobile handset maker Nokia and social gaming behemoth Zynga have teamed up to bring social gaming to various Nokia handsets including the Asha touch mobile phones line. The company’s Asha line will receive the games before the end of the current quarter with a focus on the Asha 306, Asha 311 and Asha 305. Nokia’s Lumia phones and Windows Phones will then receive Zynga support before the end of Autumn.

The move will partner Nokia’s 100 million customers with Zynga’s ability to connect gamers socially across its massive gaming platform.

Under terms of the partnership most of Zynga’s top games will be added including Zynga Poker, Draw Something and Words With Friends among others.

News of the partnership drew Nokia shares down by -0.52% to $2.88. Zynga shares in the meantime traded up +3.58% to $3.19.
