The latest example of Twitter revenge is reminding us to be careful what you write about others on social media, because chances are it will come back to bite you in the future.

That’s exactly what is happening to well-known sports broadcaster, Erin Andrews.

It all started back in 2013, when Andrews threw some shade via Twitter to suspended Ole Miss basketball player, Marshall Henderson after a failed drug test. Andrews tweeted a sarcastic remark and retweeted Henderson’s suspension news. Henderson was quick to tweet back that he would remember Andrew’s jab at him.

Well, it looks like Henderson stayed true to his word. Last weekend, Erin Andrews’ boyfriend and professional hockey player, Jarrett Stoll was arrested on the suspicion of possession of cocaine and ecstasy. After the arrest was made public, Marshall Henderson called out Andrew on Twitter.

Now, we aren’t saying it is right to make fun of someone going through legal problems or drug abuse issues, but this does serve as a reminder to watch what you say about people.

Now, this isn’t the first example of Twitter revenge. Earlier this year, LA Kings’ player, DeMarcus Cousins called out Fox Sports commentator and radio show host, Clay Travis. Five years ago, Travis tweeted, “There is a 100% chance that Demarcus Cousins is arrested for something in the next five years. 100%. Write it in stone.” Well, this year (five years later), Cousins was quick to remind Travis he remained out of trouble.
