That awkward moment when you’re Malcolm Smith and your Super Bowl MVPs post-game interview is interrupted by a babbling 9/11 Truther.
Smith was interrupted by an unknown man who rushed the stage, grabbed the mic, and shouted “”9/11 was perpetrated by our own government.” The Seahawks linebacker looked understandably stunned, but eventually recovered and quipped “Somebody check his press pass.”
ESPN ignored the interruption, because that’s exactly what you do with the 9/11 Truther movement (I say this as I have dedicated about 100 words to them already).
Worth dwelling on for a moment is Smith’s expression here:
Yeah, that’s how we feel when we listen to 9/11 Truthers too, Malcolm Smith.
