LinkedIn Is Four Times Better At Converting Business Leads Than Twitter [Study]

LinkedIn Vs Twitter B2B Leads

Whether a business is advertising directly to customers or trying to convert likes, follows and other connections into leads one thing is for certain, LinkedIn users are four times more likely to allow leads to be converted into sales.

In a new study performed by HubSpot the company found that LinkedIn produced the highest “visitor-to-lead” conversion rate.

Out of 3,128 HubSpot B2B customers examined, LinkedIn successfully converted 2.60% while Twitter converted just 0.67% for the same type of campaigns. In the meantime Facebook converted a dismal 0.39% of the same lead types.

Given that the study focused on business-to-business leads it shouldn’t come as a surprise that LinkedIn converted business leads better than other non-business centric social networks however the conversion rate is still impressive.

What might be most surprising is that Twitter created more leads than Facebook despite the small size of Twitter lead space (140 characters), business users due tend to be more receptive to ads than Facebook users.
