Is Lance Stephenson the next Shaquille O’Neal? No, I don’t mean an NBA MVP. The former Indiana Pacers star recently recorded some freestyle lyrics over the single “Hot N*gga.”
And it’s not that bad. He’s seen a pretty positive response on Twitter.
“I been balling hard since like the 5th grade… Watching A.i getting 40 with the French braids!!” –@StephensonLance

Of course, if you were hoping for Stephenson to drop a little dirt about his move to the Charlotte Bobcats this year you’ll be disappointed. Stephenson talks a lot about basketball, but the only thing he says about his trade is that he loves Indiana and that he’ll miss the good days.
Here are some lyrics from Lance Stephenson’s freestyle rap over the single “Hot N*gga.”
- “Love Indiana, I’ma miss some good days.”
- “Two chains, now I’m stuntin’ on ‘em/See a center in the lane and I’m dunkin’ on ‘em.”
- “I been ballin’ hard since like the 5th grade/Watchin’ A.I. gettin’ 40 with the French braids.”
Lance Stephenson is hardly the first NBA star to venture into the world of hip hop. In addition to the aforementioned Shaquille O’Neal, Ron Artest, Kobe Bryant and several other stars have tried their hands at music. Even Michael Jordan showcased his dance moves in a music video.
