LOS ANGELES, US — Devorise Dixon recently made a trip to Kentucky Fried Chicken. When he got home, he opened up the box and claims to have found an entirely different fried animal – a rat. He took to Facebook to share the disgusting discovery, posting several photos and a video which quickly went viral.
He also claims the manager of that particular KFC confirmed his suspicions, stating:
“Went back to KFC yesterday and spoke to the manager she said it is a rat and apologized, it’s time for a lawyer!!! Be safe don’t eat fast food!!!”
KFC, who made the news last year for accidentally serving a fried paper towel, responded to the allegations over Facebook, stating they have made numerous attempts to contact Dixon to no avail. They offered to pay for an independent lab test to determine the species of Dixon’s food.
Social News Daily also reached out to Dixon over Facebook, but so far he has not responded.
He does seem prepared to let someone examine the alleged chicken-fried rat, posting a photo of it sealed in a plastic bag with the caption “Putting it in the freezer”. One has to wonder why Dixon hasn’t yet cut it open – or at least peeled back some of the skin. It seems unlikely the tell-tale signs of rathood, like fur and bones, wouldn’t be present. KFC’s chicken is highly processed, live rats that fall into deep fryers aren’t.
With the Wendy’s finger incident in mind, it’s important to remember not to panic or jump to conclusions until there’s more information. It could, after all, simply be an oddly shaped piece of chicken. But who really wants to bite into it and find out?
