Kate Middleton may be the Duchess of Cambridge, but that doesn’t mean she’s above fist-bumping little girls, especially when they are incredibly cute.
The moment happened on Friday as the Duchess visited the Shooting Star House Children’s Hospice, which she is a patron of. Kate greeted the children, who all have life-limiting conditions, played games, sang songs, and had a good time. She also sat down for afternoon tea with the hospice children and asked local parents about their experiences.
And, proving she’s a great mom, even though she has only had that title a few months, Kate’s beautiful exchange with 5-year-old Demi-Leigh Armstrong was a truly “Aww!” moment. Armstrong, a kidney transplant recipient, held out her hand for a fist bump, which the Duchess quickly returned, commented afterward, “That’s a hard one!”
Armstrong was one of a few children who presented Kate with flowers as she was preparing to leave the center. After one final hug, the Duchess joked, “I might take you home with me too.”
