Vin Diesel revealed on Facebook that he visited Paul Walker’s family immediately after he heard about his fellow actor’s death. In the post, Diesel, who worked on the Fast Furious franchise with Walker, wrote, “When I heard, I immediately flew back to California, and went directly from the plane to his mother’s house..”
Diesel intended to offer his support to Walker’s family, saying, “I thought they needed my strength, but realized when I got there and broke down before his family, that it was I who needed theirs.” The actor also expressed his surprise with Paul’s mother hugged him and said she was sorry. He added, “I said sorry? You’re the mother who lost a son?… She said yes, but you lost your other half…”
Walker and Diesel were more than co-actors, they were also very close friends, and Walker’s death affected all of his co-stars. Diesel also visited the crash scene 30 miles north of Los Angeles on Tuesday, expressing his thanks to the crowd and talking about how wonderful Walker was.

Along with Diesel, fellow Fast Furious actor Tyrese Gibson was spotted at the makeshift memorial for Walker. Gibson broke down in tears as he laid a white flower on top of several other mementos to the late actor.
