Justin Bieber Invests $1.1 Million In Teen Social Network Shots Of Me

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber is following in the footsteps of other musicians who invest in social networks, and recently led a $1.1 million round of funding for Shots Of Me.

Shots Of Me is a social network geared towards teens, and was created by the developers behind RockLive.

From CEO John Shahidi:

“We got to know Justin after he began playing our games and tweeting about it. He’s been very involved in our products, helping us test things and providing feedback. When we told him that we were looking to create a social network for teens that really addresses what they aren’t getting on other networks, and which tries to deal with things like cyber-bullying, his eyes just lit up.”

However, Justin Bieber isn’t the only celebrity investor. Undefeated boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is also involved.

In total, RockLive has raised $2.7 million, and Shots Of Me is expected to hit the App Store later this week.

With 46.5 million followers on Twitter, and over 57 million fans on Facebook, Justin Bieber could help drive a significant amount of sign-ups for the new social network.
