After the Brooklyn Nets beat the New York Knicks at the Garden on Monday forward Kris Humphries sent out competitively taunting message on Twitter. JR Smith didn’t appreciate it and sent back a personal jab at the former reality star.
The Nets have become a major rival for the Knicks since they moved to Brooklyn at the start of this season and it isn’t just about their location. It looks like the players are developing a nice hatred for each other.
After the Nets win on Monday, Humphries wrote:
Big game tonight! The Garden got really quiet on the way out!#Brooklyn

JR Smith shot back, saying that the Garden wasn’t so quiet last month when Kanye West took the stage.

What do you think of JR Smith’s Kris Humphries jab? Sure, he referenced Kanye West, who is currently dating Humphries estranged wife, but the joke doesn’t make too much sense.
Humphries and the Nets quieted the crowd in the Garden with an 88-85 victory. West got the crowd cheering during a charity concert that benefited Hurricane Sandy victims. Both of them did what they were supposed to do.
Is that all you have to do to insult Kris Humphries these days? Mention Kanye West?
It’s great that the Brooklyn Nets and the New York Knicks are fighting for pride in the Big Apple but as far as Twitter jabs go… JR Smith needs to work on his game.
