Johnny Carson has been given his very own YouTube channel, the Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson Channel will feature weekly videos from his successful run on the Tonight Show.
According to the official YouTube Blog site visitors will also be able to request clips they would like to be submitted and even submit playlists to a Google Moderator to share your “ultimate episode” from the show.
The channel is not meant to be an all encompassing video network of Carson’s time on the air, but rather serve as a “greatest hits” channel for the comedian.
It will be interesting to see if Carson’s often “topical” humor still translate for today’s YouTube audience, most of whom we’re not alive or were very young during the Johnny Carson TV Run.
