We gotta love Jim Harbaugh. While the San Francisco 49ers head coach might live and coach in a world full of technology, he simply doesn’t get it and doesn’t want to.
Speaking during Tuesday’s media day in New Orleans the 49ers head coach was asked about his thoughts on social media. Harbaugh revealed:
“My personal opinion is it’s a time drain … A lot of time is used on the Facebooking and the Tweeter and things like that. It seems unnecessary, though. It just seems like a modern-day diary.”
Jim Harbaugh does own the Twitter account @JimHarbaugh but despite 370,000 followers he hasn’t put up a message since November 22, 2010.
Harbaugh isn’t totally against Twitter, just last week he changed his bio on Twitter after years of reading “Head football coach, Stanford University.”
Ironically Jim Harbaugh use to be boss when it came to using Twitter to give shout outs to standout players and to offer words of encouragement.
Those who can do teach and those who don’t want to teach apparently coach the San Francisco 49ers.
Here are a few samples of Jim Harbaugh’s “Tweeter” days:
My favorite 5 T.V. shows of all time: 1. The Rockford Files 2. “24” 3. The Twilight Zone (Rod Serling) 4. The Office 5. Curb Your Enthusiasm

And one more for your enjoyment:
After further review of the film, we have co-Defensive Players of the Game: Richard Sherman and Ben Gardner.Congratulations.

Side note: Jim Harbaugh’s Twitter background still features a Stanford football game.
