Instagram Photos Now Affect Klout Scores, Bing Receives Deeper Integration

Klout users who have connected their Instagram accounts will now see improvements in their Klout score. While users have been able to connect their Instagram accounts for some time now, their photos were not counted in the Klout algorithm.

Photos will now play a part in a users overall score and the most popular pictures will show up in the Klout Moments sections of a users Klout profile.

Klout on Thursday also announced that Bing is now an official Klout partner. In September 2012 Klout brought its scoring system to Bing search results, now users can connect their Klout account to Bing directly.

With its new partnership in full swing Bing search data will not start integrating with Klout’s algorithm. Eventually search results on Bing will play a part in a users Klout score.

Klout scores will also be displayed in Bing search results for high-profile influencers when they are searched by name. Here is an example of a Ben Affleck related search result via the Bing/Klout partnership:
