Instagram is finally making its way into the hands of Windows Phone users.
Nokia has announced the photo platforms arrival for its new additions, the Lumia 2520 Windows RT tablet and the Lumia 1520 Windows Phone 8 smartphone.
The Instagram for Windows Phone announcement was made by the smartphone manufacturer during Nokia Wolrd in Abu Dhabi.
According to Instagram co-founder and CEO Kevin Systrom: “Our ultimate goal is to bring Instagram to everyone who wants to use it. We’re looking forward to watching the Windows Phone community use Instagram to capture and share beautiful moments in the coming weeks.”
Third-party apps have been offered to give Windows Phone users some semblance of an Instagram experience but none have lived up to the Instagram app for the iOS and Android platforms.
Also soon to arrive for Windows Phone are Vine and Flipboard. Those applications have been listed as arriving in “the coming weeks.”
