The HootSuite dashboard has a new addition by way of VMWare’s Socialcast platform. The new feature allows for an enterprise solution that supports highly-regulated industries such as health and finance.
Once connected to the HootSuite platform Socialcast users can drag content from public social networks such as Twitter and Facebook, and place that information in their company’s private social interface.
Dan Wire, a spokesman for VMWare tells SocialTimes:
“The HootSuite integration will allow the most relevant conversations from external social channels to be brought into the internal network, where customer ideas, product feedback and relevant messages can be privately and securely discussed in the same social way.”
Socialcast will continue to run behind corporate firewalls and administrators will still continue to monitor content pulled in from the HootSuite platform. Compliance with regulatory issues is a big concern for Socialcast.
This is not the first time an enterprise solution has made its way to HootSuite, Microsoft also allows for Yammer connectivity via the HootSuite App Director.
SocialCast currently serves more than 30,000 customers with more than 5 million employees using the platform.
HootSuite has been making a big push for more social media enterprise use, here is a video the company recently posted on its official blog:
