Duff McKagan, bassist from Guns N’ Roses and Krist Novoselic, bassist from Nirvana came together for McKagan’s latest book and album release, entitled How To Be A Man. To celebrate the event, the two talented musicians performed a special version of the Guns N’ Roses hit, “Sweet Child O’ Mine. And Novoselic busted out an accordion. Yes, an accordion and it was epic.
McKagan and Novoselic weren’t the only rockers at the event. Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready also attended the release party.
How To Be A Man is McKagan’s second book. He previously wrote an autobiography, It’s So Easy (And Other Lies).
McKagan explain his book as, “A how-to guide of things I’ve learned about life – being a dad, being a husband and being in a rock band. And it’s, like, a city guide in it, but a very tongue-in-cheek city guide; like, how I see cities. It’s got all kinds of stuff. And other stories. And hopefully it’s gonna be a funny book.”
He also released a companion three-song EP, the title track is considered the “theme song” of the book. But, we can all agree the most memorable part of this whole release is an accordion version of one of the rock classics.
