George R.R. Martin Is Asking for $20,000 to Kill You in His Novel

George R.R. Martin

Who would pass up on the chance to be a character in “A Song of Ice and Fire”, George R.R. Martin’s high fantasy novel series that is the basis of HBO’s hit TV show “Game of Thrones”? AND, who wouldn’t want that character to be remembered forever by having the grisliest death of grisly deaths?

If you have $20,000, then you can have all that and more.

George R.R. Martin is busy as a bee, flitting around here and there, doing everything but finishing the books, and one of his current projects is a crowdfunding campaign that is meant to help the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary and The Food Depot of Santa Fe.

While $20,000 gives you the granddaddy of all prizes, there are other perks at stake which are more affordable. From the author himself:

If you make a small donation to my campaign, you will automatically be entered to win an incredible experience. You and a friend will be flown out (from wherever you are in the world) to meet me in Santa Fé, where we’ll share a helicopter ride to the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary.

In addition to touring the Sanctuary together, we’ll also have plenty of time to discuss the show, A Song of Ice and Fire, direwolves – and if there’s anything you have ever wanted to ask me, here’s your chance!

The official Game of Thrones account has thrown in its support via Twitter, so if you’re a fan, you might want to join in on the fun.

He’s also on YouTube, to convince people to chip in.

Make your donations, or just have a look here.
