Fu Yuanhui Is The Adorkable Olympics Hero The Internet Needs


The Rio Olympics athletes have been nothing short but amazing and diverse — not to mention given us feelings. They’ve shown extraordinary strength, courage, and fortitude. They’ve also gotten us thirsty AF.

Now, how about someone adorkable? Because really Fu Yuanhui is the rare gem the internet needs.

Fu Yanhui is one of the shining members of China’s swim team, and her candor and sincerity in expression has us falling in love. Here’s a video of a quick Olympic coverage video as she’s interviewed right after the Women’s 100m Backstroke, and didn’t even realized she’d won. She’s something of a walking adorkable sweetheart we can’t get enough of, and it’s really easy to see why.

She may not have won a gold medal, but her enthusiasm for the moment is unparalleled.
