Sean O’Brien was the victim of fat-shaming after a video of him dancing at a club went viral. Known as the ‘dancing man’, the 46-year-old was made fun of by online trolls after the footage was uploaded to 4chan. Despite being the victim of this harsh bullying, he has now having the last laugh.
Nicknamed the ‘dancing man’, the attention spurred a search for O’Brien on social media named #FindDancingMan. Once found, the group promised O’Brien a star-studded dance party.
The group behind #FindDancingMan included writer, Cassandra Fairbanks. Fairbanks took to Twitter to share that the search was successful!

Cassandra and her social media friends made good on their promise and O’Brien has been living a whirlwind ever since.
#FindDancingMan has led to all kinds of craziness for the middle-aged man. He appeared on Today Show and dancing with pop singer, Meghan Trainor.

It is safe to say that the worst thing that has ever happened to O’Brien has turned into one of the best. He shared how he felt about the whole ordeal on Good Morning Britain.
“It was daunting at first. I was a bit worried about how it all happened but it’s turned into the most wonderful journey, I’ve met some of the most wonderful people you can imagine. It’s been truly life-changing,” O’Brien said. “I’ve always had confidence anyway, I’ve always wanted to dance. It’s just people pick on you sometimes. But what it has taught me is just totally ignore them rather than just blanking them.”
