How Facebook Live Streaming Has Affected The World In Two Days

Facebook live streaming is the future of the internet and it’s the biggest way that the world is becoming more interconnected. That has become clear in the past few days as we’ve seen a number of different things play out online. While other platforms like YouTube and Tumblr are also crushing live streaming, Facebook is the place where people go to see events streamed live because it’s the heart of social media.

The first thing that we’ve seen live in the past few days was the live streamed aftermath of the murder of Philando Castile at the hands of a white police officer in Minnesota. I’ve included the video in which Castile’s girlfriend is shown conversing with the officer who sounds distraught. This video was live streamed and it’s pretty much an open-and-shut case. Castile had a clean record and a license to carry. This cop is getting the chair.

And just today, in fact only a few minutes ago. FoxNews live streamed the video of FBI Secretary Comey testifying before Congress. It’s not a big deal that this was live streamed but it garnered a huge audience, which is a pretty big deal. If you missed it, the video will be available on the FoxNews site soon. And while there was probably a good reason for the hearing, you didn’t miss much. The Republicans and Democrats were pretty much yelling at each other (just like they did in Hillary’s hearing) and Comey was just a bystander. Sure, the Republicans grilled him, but the Democrats didn’t do anything but defend Clinton and occasionally lob a softball question at him.
